Getting started is simple: after purchasing, just register your company and vehicle details on the HU-GO portal (www.hu-go.hu). Enter your vehicle’s axle count and environmental classification—both are required for toll calculation. After registration, link your OBU’s unique ID in the “Vehicles on this account” section. Please top up your HU-GO balance in advance to ensure uninterrupted toll payment!
How the E-Toll System Works
This device is designed to ease your daily operations by automatically handling toll payments—so you don’t need to pre-plan every route or purchase route tickets in advance. Since July 1, 2013, vehicles over 3.5t (J2, J3, J4 categories) must pay tolls to use major roads. Legal changes also restrict use of minor roads for these vehicles without special permission—please comply to avoid fines.
Two toll payment options exist: pre-purchased route tickets (inflexible, non-refundable), or this OBU device, which pays tolls in real time as you drive. The OBU uses GPS to track your vehicle’s location and sends data via GSM to the central system. The system then calculates tolls based on your vehicle’s parameters (axle number, environmental classification) and deducts the fee from your HU-GO balance.
